My Lil' KSU Wildcat!
She is destined to be a KSU Wildcat! I just had to share...she is so funny! Just watch her yell for KSU!
Hanover Fireworks
The fireworks were great. They put them to music and had some beautiful firework displays. Heather was able to come up and be with us so that was great! Kenny stayed home and told us he could hear them from his house---not that his house is that far away!:)
We will watch Wamego's this Friday. We always go to the parade and then watch the display afterwards:) I will get some more pictures loaded to my flickr.com site probably tomorrow. You can click the slideshow and see the rest of them and they are larger so they are easier to see.:) Enjoy the pictures and blog!:)

Beautiful Angel!
Isn't she just beautiful? We came home from church and she jumped right into the wagon wanting her daddy to give her a ride. The lighting was perfect I thought and we got some awesome pictures! Kyra is growing up so fast, I just can't believe that she's 20 months old....4 months from now and she'll be 2!!!! We went to the Hanover fireworks this past Saturday and she did well. I'll have to post them later. We saw Uncle Kenny and he gave her some change for her piggy bank. Tonight she and I put the coins in her bank and she did most of them all by herself!!! Her fine motor skills are AMAZING! She finally got her first big booboo tonight (not that we wanted her to) but we went to the track and she fell and skinned her knee. Poor little thing. But this is the first of many!

Trip To Florida
The Olberding's headed to Ft. Lauderdale last Thursday to attend the wedding of Holly's dad. This was the first plane ride for Kyra. They stayed the night in KC since their flight was at 7:10 am. Things went smoothly and Kyra loved to stick her face to the window and look out and say "Oh Look!!!". She was amazed at everything around her. Kyra behaved on the plane and didn't have any issues on or off while we had a lay over in Atlanta.
Carla and Holly's dad Reinhard was waiting for them as they arrived in the Ft. Lauderdale airport. A rental car was obtained and they headed off to Carla's house for a late lunch. Kyra wasn't much interested in eating since she found the pool in the backyard and want to go there instead. Her Grandpa Grund took her for a swim....I swear she is a fish!!!
Change of tense: We headed to the the Ocean Sky Hotel which is located right along the beach. It was a wonderful place!! We stayed in a suite with kitchen. Everyone was so nice there. Kyra and I went down to the beach while Ryan went to go get his tux at Carla's. Ryan got in big trouble because as I was unpacking some of his items leaked onto my capris and shirt. He was instructed by me to put any bottles containing liquid into a ziplock bag...he assured me they were safe...HA! So he took those items with him to Carla's so that she could try to wash them. Ryan wasn't coming back and wasn't coming back....FINALLY he got back to the room with a GAP bag...he went to the mall to buy me new pants because they couldn't get the stain out!!! Needless to say I made him say "Yes, Holly you were right!"
We changed and headed out for supper with Carla and her family at the Rustic Crab Shack. It was AMAZING! I ordered a plate of crab that had about 4-5 different kinds of crab. Kyra enjoyed the calamari (squid). It was so funny to watch her eat it because it is a little rubbery!!:) She got tired of trying to bite it so she just ate ALL of it at once! We had a very nice time. Afterwards we headed beack to the hotel to end our first night in Ft. Lauderale.
I got up in the morning to go down to exercise, but the gym was full so.....did I got back to bed....LOL no, I went and exercised on the beach. That was so relaxing! It's is amazing to see so much water at once. By the time I got back Kyra and Ryan were up and ready to head down to the beach. Kyra LOVES the water so much that she headed right towards the regular pool at the hotel and I was like "Oh no sweetie.....you have the best pool of all just down the steps!" She couldn't get enough, although she didn't care for the taste of the salt water. She loved looking at the schools of fish that swam by us by the shore and looking for shells.
After wards we went to the mall and down to the pier for lunch. She fed some birds in which we started with one and ended up with FIVE around us:) We had a little trouble getting to the rehearsal but we got there and Kyra was great! The Pastor told us that this was the youngest flower girl he had worked with and was asking me if she would do ok...I was like "Oh yeah...she's in front of people...she's a show off! She do great!"
The rehearsal dinner was AMAZINING and this awesome little place called the River View House. Kyra ate pretty much all of daddy's chocolate cake so he got another one because the waiter felt bad:) Of course I wasn't about to share!!! The cake was all mine!
We went to the beach the next morning and then of course that was the wedding day so we heading to the wedding and Kyra was perfect! She couldn't WAIT to go down the aisle. She was like a little princess just smiling and looking at everyone...she made me tear up on stage:) She is just so beautiful and my husband so handsome. It was at the moment I felt how blessed I was to have such an amaing family. The reception was beautiful and again Kyra stole the show!:)
We didn't have any complications until we were trying to get home...we were in the airport and a horrible storm came through and our plane was hit by lightining...what were the chances of THAT! So we stayed overnight courtesy of Delta and flew out the next morning at 7 am. We finally got home around 3:30 pm.
It was a nice trip and Ryan and I decided that next summer Kyra might just have to stay with grandparents while we take a short trip just for ourselves:) I was glad that Kyra was able to experience it all!!:)
