KSU Vs. Tenn Tech

(Mommy and Kyra before the game)

We all went to the game to cheer on our K-State Wildcats. Kyra attended with us as well this time. She did very very well, only one major melt down at the beginning of the game. Nothing a bag of Cat Corn and a pop couldn't cure;)

Mommy couldn't help but buy this awesome bow for Kyra. It will complete her KSU Cheer outfit for both the games and her Halloween costume this year. She was getting a little tired as this was at the end of the 4th quarter. K-State WON!!!

Kyra playing football. Love the above picture...she really was trying to catch it. Love the bottom one too! Caught her in mid air to catch the ball! I know these two will cherish these times as I know I do watching them.

This game Kyra was featured as a "Future Wildcats" on the big screen board aka Megatron...except when daddy told her she was on the Megatron she replied "On No! Megatron's a bad guy!" (Megatron is the villain transformer) But when she saw herself she said "Oh that's me!" It was pretty neat to have her up there for all to see and for her to see!!:)

Not sure if she'll come to the next game or not...she did do very well so that's always a plus. We have a couple of weeks to think about it.

Note on my sister:
My baby sister who is 15 (Freedom) was diagnosed last week with lyme disease. She has been very ill with chills/headaches/exhaustion/infected lympnodes and has the bulls-eye bite site. She is on medication and I'm hoping soon she will feel much better. Please keep her in your prayers and pray for a speedy recovery.

Christy's Note: I just tripled this and bagged it up noodles and all for
freezing. It's probably one of the easiest recipes I have tried!

When we got there our little one looked they their were talking to us...opening and clothing their mouth THEN decided to stick their tongue out at us! Everything looks great!! We got to see all four chambers of the heart, the stomach, bladder etc. Made sure it had all 10 fingers and toes. Baby Olberding is the size of a pop can measuring in at 12 oz! We watched for about 20 minutes..it's just so amazing! The heartbeat was coming in at 143. Kyra was interested until she saw the beta fish in the exam room:) Very exciting time for us!! Enjoy the pictures.

Baby Update (short)

Went to the Dr's for my monthly appointment today. Everything looked great. The baby's heart rate was 143-146 (maybe it's a boy??) Kyra was always in the higher 150's/low 160's. We go back this Friday for our Sonogram...EXCITING...can't wait to "see" the little gal/guy! We are not going to find out the sex, we didn't with Kyra. It seems to be more interesting to not find out and fun to try all the old wives tales. I have been having some more discomfort this time around but it's due to having one before they tell me. He told me that I probably have felt some braxton hicks already and I when I thought about it I think he's right. However, it is nothing to be concerned with he assured me....I'm just more sensitive after having a little one already.

Look for the very first glimpse of Baby O on here this weekend or early next week!!!:) He/She will make their picture debut!!:)

Lovin' the Cats!

Cloverton

We went to Purple Power Play on Poyntz last night and listened to the group Cloverton. The lead singer is Lance Stafford who is an AMAZING artist. Lance and I know each other from highschool through FFA, then we did our student teaching together, (He was also the BEST Willie the Wildcat at K-State from 99-2003), and I was so blessed to have him sing at our wedding!!!!

Their group is a Christian Rock group and he writes all of the material. Check them out!! They are wonderful!

Purple Power Play on Poyntz 2009

We headed out to support our K-State Wildcats on Poyntz! Kyra finally was able to get into her snazzy dandy cheerleader outfit!!! Mommy was more excited than her I know!! But she looked so darn cute! We first stopped to see Willie the Wildcat for our annual family K-State photo with the photographer Mark Rose. Kyra was so excited to will Willie!! She just stood there looking up at him and when daddy asked if she wanted Willie to hold her and she said "Oh yes!!" I really don't think she could get over how big his head was!!
After we saw Willie we headed over to AJ's Pizzeria for some yummy pizza! For some reason Kyra decided she didn't like pepperoni pizza anymore. It was probably more that she wanted to be out and about walking the vendors and playing than anything.
We walked around and Kyra played some games, but the part that mommy enjoyed the most was listening to the band Cloverton. Check out my next post about the band! Then of course the Pep Rally started!!!! Bring on the CATS!
The K-State marching band along with the Classy Cats, Cheerleaders and Flags came marching out and pumping all up with their great music. I'm excited to see the new band uniforms Saturday at the game! They are well deserved! Coach Snyder and some of the football boys came out for a few words. The boys looked SHARP in their black suit coats and cut hair! It was a great feeling to have Coach Snyder back again! He looked well rested and even cracked some jokes.
We had to leave before it was over because we had a tired little girl. When we got home we, well I only watched the first quarter of the Boise State/Oregon Game. Apparently I missed out on some action at the end of the game when a player from Oregon DECKED a player from Boise!
Ready for some FoOtBaLl!!!!!
