Kyra had a wonderful birthday party! We are very lucky to have such wonderful family and friends.
Kyra received lots of babies and baby accessories, puzzles, play dough and crayola items. She also got some clothes and a barn yard set from mommy and daddy. We hand many "little" guests.
Kyra's cousins and two friends from day care came over to help her celebrate. The cake was a huge success! I couldn't cut the cake and had to have Ryan do it just for the fact that I did all that work last night I couldn't bring myself to destroy it:( Ryan did not object since it was a chocolate cake.
Kyra did a nice job of blowing out her candles once her cousin helped her out and showed her what she needed to do.:) She enjoyed more though the chocolate covered banana than the banana cake...
LOL
Such pretty hair!! Here hair is getting so long. I can't imagine how long it will be a year from now! We don't plan on cutting it other than her bangs like we did this past year. Her little curls are just too adorable to cut off.
Kyra had help from her little guests in opening presents.
Kyra would get side tracked from time to time with gifts that had already been unwrapped. She started unwrapping a few before the party because Uncle Gerard and Megan had to leave by two so we started with theirs and opened one from mommy and daddy.
We missed Auntie Heather but we know she wasn't feeling well and we'll get to see her soon. We also missed Aunt Monica and Uncle Toby along with the girls.:( We'll get to see them next weekend though at the
pumpkin patch for some fun!!:)
The night before I decorated
Kyra's birthday cake. It turned our fairly well. She had her own banana cake that I made. I guess it looks like a monkey...
LOL.

The countdown has begun for getting ready for her party. Tonight I got her cake baked and in the freezer ready to be decorated tomorrow. We'll see how long this one takes. Last year it took me 3 hours to finish her Ladybug cake, but that included making the homemade frosting/coloring and piping.
I got her treat bags made for her little friends as a thank you for coming. I was pretty proud of myself for the simple fact of my creativity and the low cost to make these. They only cost $1.75 each to make! As you can see in the picture the contents are a box of crayons, a washcloth and smarties!
