My Little Green Thumbed Girl

Kyra had picked out some planting seeds at Dollar General and we decided that today was a beautiful day to be outside! She was getting the dirt ready in the pot to plant her Sunflower seed.
Here she has her little gardening gloves and making sure that the seed is patted nicely and ready for it's "drink" of water.
She went exploring the backyard and was up by the garden and I just thought she was too cute:)

Busy Weekend

We had a very BUSY Easter weekend. We headed back to the farm Friday night so we didn't have to rush around Saturday morning to get to all the events that took place that day. Saturday was filled with so MANY things but I'm happy I got to do them. Kyra went to Marysville to my dad and Carla's Church Easter Egg hunt. It was a really nice hunt and the church did a wonderful job. Kyra's age group got to watch the Resurrection (cartoon) and they explained what Easter really meant...even though the kids still associate it with EGGS and CANDY!:) It was very touching and it helped me remember was we were celebrating this weekend. They then got to go hunt for eggs and Kyra got 32! She was only suppose to get 30, but dad kept telling her to pick up more...LOL He didn't follow directions very well...hehehe. They then provided a little lunchon for the children which I thought was soooo nice! I was really glad that we went to Marysville to egg hunt because this one was in the morning and that way I was able to go. We had to leave to come back so I could go to my soon to be sister-in-law's shower in Seneca. After the shower at the farm, the kids did their Easter Egg hunt. It was so fun to watch them run down the big hill to try to get their clothes out of the tree. The Bunny put some of their presents in the tree! We lined them all up for pictures afterwards in birth order and had a nice chuckle because they all stair-stepped perfectly! My mother-in-law got all the kids a babysitter and the adults went into town to the new restaraunt called "The Willows" for a nice night of fun. We then went to Easter Mass on Sunday at St. Mary's. I really can't tell you enough how enjoyable it is to attend mass there with Father Ed. It is so refreshing and feels like "home" with him officiating. After mass we had Easter dinner and played some cards, relaxed a bit then came home.

Kyra after mass...this was all she would let me get for a picture in her pretty Easter dress and shoes...and as you can tell she was ready to get out of her clothes into something more comfortable.

She was on a mission to get her eggs!
***We are heading to Cawker Friday for the weekend to celebrate Easter with my family. However we will be missing daddy because he has Uncle Gerard's Bachelor party this Saturday. We hope he has lots of fun..daddy that is...we know Uncle Gerard will have fun!***

Fun Day at the Park

Park Fun!What a nice Friday! I had a professional development day and for lunch Ryan and Kyra took me to Goodcents and the Manhattan City Park. Well...ok maybe the park was for Kyra more than for me, but it was so nice to get to spend some time with them. The camera was left in the car but good thing because I loved capturing Kyra playing!

These swings were AWESOME and she loved swinging in them. They were almost like a roller coaster seat with the harness that comes over the top. She just laughed and laughed and laughed as her daddy pushed her.

On to the next playground item...this was really neat too, but mommy couldn't really play on it because it make her tummy sick. This was at an angle and your weight made in go around in circles. I was a little nervous she might fall, but she didn't and loved playing on this too.

Look at that beautiful smile!

I call him "King of the Playground"

She is gaining more confidence all the time and becoming fearless! I was so proud of her watching her walk across the ropes and never slipping once. Today was the first day I really saw her become a "big" girl for the first time...at least for me anyways.

Isn't this the coolest ladybug you ever did see? Kyra is pretty cool with her shades too! Daddy got them for her because she told him she had to pee pee in Wal-mart and SHE DID!!! Yeah Kyra. We WILL master the potty training yet!

Our little girl is so strong.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Excited to Color Eggs!
Kyra was so excited to color eggs this year! Just look at that little face. She was waiting so patiently while mommy and daddy were getting everything ready.

She was so excited that she didn't want to share and hogged all the eggs at one point.

So I LOVE this picture because this truly captures her expression of "Mom...seriously I don't have time to take a photo!" She has always been so expressive with her facial expressions...even as a baby.

Checkin' out if the eggs have had enough dying time.

Little hands doing great work!
It was so much fun to get to watch her do this this year. She really understands what we are doing now and this is such a fun age for them and for us. I wouldn't trade this for anything and look forward to many many more Easter days to come!

Easter Bunny Time

What fun we had this weekend. Saturday we walked in the MS walk in Manhattan and then got to see the Easter Bunny! I love looking at how she has grown from last year to this year! She is getting so big and grown up!

We didn't head back for the Egg hunt at St. Benedict because the weather was too cold and we just enjoyed a weekend home for a change. Afraid our weekends are pretty laid out for us until the end of May/June. Enjoy the pictures!
