Some more Pics

We are blessed!

The lord continues to bless us each year. This year has not been different. This Christmas Season was also another time of joy and happiness. I find myself always looking back on the year and am reminded of all the wonderful things in my life. First and foremost I have such an amazing family! My husband is the most amazing man and father! I have a beautiful daughter who brings so much joy to all around her! I love this pictures of us here in black & white.

You know me and pictures:) I wish that the program I used allowed it to be printed larger so I could put it on snapfish.

I also always take a picture of Kyra's note to Santa. We know that Santa REALLY loves Crinkle cookies (which Kyra helped make) and he would rather drink OJ than milk! When we got back from church all the cookies and OJ was gone. Santa must have been hungry! The chocolate covered pretzel was for "Red Nose"...Rudolph you know. That's what we call him. She loves Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer show...just like her daddy. It will be a tradition I know to watch that every year.

We celebrated Santa coming on Christmas Eve and then headed to Cawker for Christmas Day to celebrate with my family. Kyra had a blast and enjoyed all the wonderful gifts along with all the CHOCOLATE and POP. I'll be glad when all this is gone and we can get back to a normal routine with the eating!! LOL Here she has on her new robe from Grandma Green!:) She just looks so grown up! We didn't get to Beloit to see the Christmas lights in the park though:( It was a busy time because then we packed up on Saturday and headed to Hanover to celebrate with the Bruna side of the family. She LOVED Brian & Darice's pool table! She was having a hay day with all the kids there. Overall she did very well and was patient most of the time. But she is two and developmentally you know they are testing their independence and boundaries. Something I'm getting use to!!! They tell me this too shall pass!:) But over all she really is a respectable child and behaves well.

It's a Mowse Grandma!!

My mom is always so creative!:) We each get a certain amount of money intsead of a lot of gifts so we can put it towards something! What do you you think I'm getting????? LOL Since she works at a bank she orders fresh, crisp new cash for us:) Gotta love her!

We finally finished our celebration at my dad's in Herkimer and Marysville. It was a wondeful season this year and I will post the rest of the pictures in a slideshow on the sidebar for you to look at when you have time or would like to see more. Hope you were as blessed as we were this season!!!

Powder PUFF!

Ok, so as I was updating the blog I got this whiff of baby power all the way out in the living room....I wonder into Kyra's room and what do my wondering eyes behold:

Someone had emptied the power all over her bed! I couldn't even get mad..she was too cute!! She was trying to tell me she was cleaning it up too!:) I have my own Frosty the Snowman!!!

Kyra Loves to Clean!

This weekend marked the start of our many family Christmas celebrations. Sunday we were at Ryan's parents to celebrate. We went to church in the morning (Kyra did very well praise the lord!) We came home and snacked on the many goodies that were made by everyone followed with soup for lunch. Then came PRESENTS! I guess I should preface the cleaning pictures. Kyra is a little picker upper! She LOVES to clean. One day in chruch she took a baby wipe and cleaned the WHOLE pew...plus the floor (YUCK). She got a cleaning kit from her Grandma & Grandpa Olberding and oh my were we cleaning up after the presents were opened! She cleaned all night when we got home and woke up with her broom cleaning! I don't think she gets that gene from me...maybe daddy:) She also got a little pack n play that she though she could "rest" in from cleaing with her baby doll:)

Jolly Good Time

Last night was Ryan's Christmas party! We went to Kite's on HWY 24 to meet up with his bosses and wives and co-workers for food, friends and fun! It's always a great time with those guys!! Kyra stayed at home with some really awesome babysitters!!! Thank you Crystal and Nick! They had lots of fun coloring, watching a movie and just playing around. We came home early this year due to the misting and ice that was happening, but still a great time! The picture above is us right before we left for the party:) I absolutely LOVE that my name fits so well with Christmas!! Thank you mom for picking that name for me!!:)
Yesterday morning Ryan and I became an AUNT and UNCLE again with Kyra getting another little cousin! Ryan's sister had a little boy yesterday morning!! The baby was taken by C-section due to some complications during the latter part of her pregnancy. We can't wait to meet the lil' guy!! Let's hope the weather cooperates and we can go for a visit. I guess that leaves me next to add to the family!:) LOL
If the weather and all other plans work out we will be heading up to Ryan's parents tomorrow for Christmas. It's always fun to see the little ones together and having fun. Santa of course is coming Christmas Eve and then Christmas Day we are heading to Cawker to spend time with my family. We are looking forward to all the fun!!:)

Fun Night At Home

Cookie Dough is one of the BEST things in the world mommy!
What a day! It took me a little over an hour to go the 15 miles to work today due to the snow we were getting this morning! Came home at 3:30 with a pit stop at Wal-mart to pick up some snow boots for Kyra. We are finally in a size 7 shoe..well at least the boots are. They are a tad big, but heck by the time you stick more than two pairs of socks on her feet they will fit snug as a bug in rug! She really liked them and was wearing them around the house as you can see from the pic.

She also was helping in the kitchen. We made some double chocolate chip cookies from some fundraiser dough I bought at school on my NEW baking pans...they rock! Got them from the school. I've been wanting these pans for a while now and was estatic to find that I could purchase them from the school kitchen. She discovered how wonderful it was to eat the cookie dough tonight. She had her little spoon and took a bite while looking at me and saying "YUM". She also helped me "shake" the rice crispies red and green before going to bed so that I could make candy cane rice crispy treats for her Christmas party on Friday. We made Puppy Chow last night for her party too! We have been quite the busy little bees in the kitchen. Ryan made his chocolate chip cookies while I went out and scooped snow from the driveway and sidewalk. The plan is to also make Crinkles and Gingerbread Men this week while chocolate covered pretzels!

.

She found the "chocolate" right away on the counter:)

Attempt at Christmas Pictures

First off the poor little thing got sick with the flu this past weekend. My dad (Reinhard) came down all day on Saturday to watch Kyra as part of my birthday present (I turned 28 on Dec. 8th-but I'm eternally 23 according to my nephew). Ryan and I went to Topeka for lunch and to finish some Christmas shopping. My sister-in-law and her husband joined us at Olive Garden for lunch. It was wonderful to have lunch with adults and have the kiddos with grandparents. (SMILE). We got home around 5 pm to find that Kyra and her grandpa had visited Sonic for a shake and McDonald's for dinner and were headed back to McDonald's for supper. They also went out for a walk which Kyra LOVED since she loves the outdoors so much. They went out after supper to look at Christmas lights, another favorite past time of Kyra's....she says "Momma!!! Pretty!!" Ryan and I then left for the rest of my birthday present from my dad and Carla, a night down at the Colombian Theatre for supper and to watch the production of "A Christmas Carol". It was wonderful and the food was awesome as always. It was catered by the Friendship House....a place my friend Crystal and I visited often this summer. When we got home we found a very happy girl in the bathtub, but a horrid smell was lingering in the house. She had thrown up in her bed and dad was cleaning up the mess when we got home. From there is went down hill...we were up ALL night long and she couldn't keep anything down, not even a sip of water. At one point I asked if she needed to throw up and she shook her little head yes and when I gave her the bowl she just plopped her head in it...it was rather pathetic if you saw...poor lil thing. We were better by Sunday night though. As you can she from the picture above it is entitled "Sick by tree light!"

Below are the attempts we made at a getting a picture for our family Christmas card. We were unsuccessful, but did get some cute ones.

Where'd it go? Kyra asked.

See momma, this is a pretty tree and it's mine.

Hum....should I open all of these presents to see what is inside like my mommy and Aunt Heather did one year??? No, I better not.

The girl has got some hair, but mommy loves it when she lets her fix it all purdy!:)
