My Baby Turned 5 Months Today!!!

Mr. Brady is 5 months old!! Can you wrap your mind around it? I sure can't! He has grown so much since January. He is such a ham and LOVES LOVES attention...he may be a touch like his momma. He is definitely a momma's boy. He can be fussing around and as soon as I pick him up he is just as happy as a lark. He is just the happiest baby of course when he isn't hungry or poopy.

We have started solids and he likes all that I give him. He is still getting up around 3-4 am and lately nights have been a little rough. Not sure what's going on, suspecting more teeth. He already has 2 that he got when he was 4 months old. The last week or so we really haven't gotten much sleep between Ryan, Brady and I.

He is really starting to bear all of his weight on his legs-he is a STRONG little guy! He tries to "crawl" but needs to figure out he needs his arms to go with it:) He also loves to babble...omgosh:)

Loving being a mommy to two great kids!!:)

Fun Day!

We started the day off by heading to the Public Library for "Guppies" story hour. It was so cute to watch her. She however got very upset that she wasn't called on and she had her hand raised. We had to have a talk that you always don't get picked to come to the front. It ended up ok though. She did her pirate craft and was the last one there to make sure she did her very best:) She was concerned that all the kids were going to check out books but I let her know she didn't have to rush. She turned her books in from yesterday and checked out some more. We came home and we read her new books. I think Brady enjoyed them too!

Brady went down for a nap so she and I went outside to play in the little pool we have in the backyard. We were out there for about a hour and a half. She loves the water. We came inside and started working on making a cake for Grandma Green.

I think we are going to take a walk down to the Farmers Market that they are just starting here in town:)

My Handsome Man!

He growing up so fast!

Rainy Day

The storms have moved in and we luckily got to the Library and back right in time before it started to pour rain! Kyra LOVES to go to the Library. We have been busy reading books for her summer reading program. I FINALLY finished the 4th book in the Fablehaven series to find there is a FIFTH!!! I checked out the 3rd book of the Melissa Marr series of Wicked Lovely. Excited to see what is in store.

We have also started some ABC projects. Yesterday she colored some paper apples (RED, GREEN, & YELLOW) then did a dot-to-dot of ABC's to make a tree. We colored the tree and then glued the apples on the tree. She told me the colors and she counted the apples. We also read a book about apples the week before. Today we made a butterfly. She told me that a caterpillar turns into a butterfly:) She also told me today when I asked "Kyra when is your birthday?" Without hesitating she said "OCTOBER!" Totally blew me away that she knew that. I wish I had more time to work with her but we do what we can while Brady sleeps.

Brady is very much a momma's boy and loves attention. He hasn't been sleeping well so I've been tired of course. We do what we can. Even though I'm exhausted I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I made some candles for my mom's 50th birthday party. I saw some like this at Pier I but they were like 5.00 and what we just burn them anyways so I went to Dollar Tree and picked up some Tea Lights and used Kyra's paints to create my own:) Check it out!:)

Enjoying Some Silence

The sound of silence never was more peaceful. Ryan and Brady are sleeping. Kyra visiting the farm...awe.

Since summer has started things haven't seemed to slow down for us. Ryan's cousin was married Memorial Day weekend and I hadn't been feeling well. NO NOT PREGNANT! Just have to put that out there. We are just great with the two little ones we have right now:) Then the next weekend the kids stayed over at their Aunt Megan's and Uncle Gerard's while we went to Kansas City for Ryan's classmate's wedding. It was so nice to get away and have some adult time. A BIG thank you Megan and Gerard taking the kiddos!! While we were gone Brady got another tooth so he now has BOTH bottom teeth:-)

The kids and I headed to Cawker but only stayed a day/night. I still wasn't feeling well and pretty crabby so we came home. Freedom still wasn't feeling well either;( She was admitted to the hospital in Washington about 2 weeks ago due to a kinked bowel. Poor girl. The kids and I traveled up there to see her and spend the day with Grandpa Green and Uncle Kenny.

Kyra has spent that past 3 days up with her Grandma and Grandpa Olberding. Sounded like they were having a blast. When Ryan talked to her she was killing ants;) LOL When we were out at Cawker she went fishing on the lake with Grandma and Grandpa Green. She caught about 4-5 fish. She had caught a pretty big one but it wasn't big enough Grandma said because she wanted a BIGGER ONE! They brought a crappie home and that's ALL she could talk about and she wanted to take it home to show daddy....unfortunately I didn't have an aquarium to take it with me;) LOL

While she has been gone Ryan, Brady and I went on a walk. About a block and 1/2 away from home he started to get fussy. So I jogged up by him so he could see me and he stopped. Well come to find out he just wanted to see me, so for the rest of the way home I walked backwards:) He is such a momma's boy;) He was playing in his bouncy and I was laying next to him on the floor and he was fussing around so I put my hand up by him and and grabbed to hold my hand and he stopped fussing;) He is such a sweetheart. We can get him to just giggle and laugh...trying to get it on tape because he laughs to hard:) Of course I think he is just the cutest thing ever, but I'm his mom, I'm suppose to think that:).

Kyra has started gymnastics and dance again. It's amazing how a year can change them. She was more focused and told me "I stay in the room mommy, you just watch!" We've been swimming and playing in the water in the backyard. She loves going to the library too!

Our summer so far has been busy and as always it will stay that way!

First Week of Break

The kids and I went to Washington on Tuesday to see Freedom. She was admitted to the hospital there with a kinked bowel. Poor girl. She was in quite a bit of pain the previous night but was discharged by noon. She and mom headed back to Cawker while the kids and I went over to Hanover to see Uncle Kenny. We went to Ricky's to eat and then up to the pool for a bit so Kyra could play in the water. We got home just in time for Kyra to head over to her gymnastics class. It is amazing what a year does because she was much more in-tuned with the whole thing. She starts her dance class on Monday.
We went over to the Library and got signed up for the Summer Reading Program. She checked out 3 books and we got them read already. She was so excited to read that she said "Read it again mommy!" Later Kyra and I went to the pool where she played for about an hour. Brady isn't quite sure of the water yet:) LOL

I want to do some preschool activities with her so we will see how that goes.
We have has some more sleepless nights with Brady trying to pop another tooth. He was crabby yesterday but I am just sure it's due to the other bottom tooth trying to come in. I'm waiting for him to take a nap so I can sneak one in. I got up at 5:45 to head to the track to walk with a friend of mine and by the time I got home Mr. Brady Man was up!

Here are some pics of the man:)
