Wow, my postings have really made a decline since school has started. I have to stay since the beginning of school things have really been crazy around the Olberding household. It seems like all we do is run here and there and when we are home we are trying to catch up on things. Let's try to get caught up on the things we have been up to.
AUGUST:
Kyra and mommy went to the Teddy Bear Tea Party put on by the cosmetology school in Westloop (Manhattan). Her friend Kaylin and her mommy joined us. They had so much fun getting their hair and nails done. Then they were able to "walk" the runway.
The 22nd our new Catholic church had its dedication mass. It was an awesome experience to watch a new church being blessed and ready for future masses. It is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. I really can't describe it other than awesome! Click

Kyra started preschool at Brilliant Beginnings here in Wamego. She loves every minute of it! She is quite the funny "spunky" girl. A couple of funny stories to share from school:
She told me one night before bed "Mommy I had to go to the library." I was a little confused on the deal because I know that the don't have a "library", but soon realized she was talking about the classroom library. I asked her if she had a timeout and she said yes. I asked what she was doing. "I was running." she said. I just had to smile because I don't think when she is 16 she will be so eager to tell me when she is making bad choices.
Her teacher had a note that Kyra and her had a "chat" at recess time. When I asked Kyra about it her reply was "I not talk about it mommy!" I told her that was fine for now and that I would talk to her teacher. So the next day I asked about it. Kyra was having difficulty keeping her hands to herself and finally at recess time Miss Megan said "Kyra let's have a chat over her." Kyra replied "UM....I not feel like it." Megan assured me that she was very polite about it, but I was like um...ya did you tell her it wasn't a choice! LOL.
Kyra has such a strong personality! We are trying to help her learn that using in positively will get her far in life. Everyone up there loves her and she makes them smile. Kyra is happy and loves it there and that is all I can ask for.
Brady turned 7 months on the 26th!!

SEPTEMBER:
This brought us our season opening against UCLA and Purple Power Play on Poyntz! The kids have not gone to a game with us so far and have had babysitters. They will be joining us this weekend against UCF. My step-brothers Ryan (UCF alum) and Tyler (current UCF student) will be flying up from Florida to go to the game with us. Excited to see them.;) Dad and Carla rode in Harley day:)
Purple Power Play was fun. Kyra was all in the cheerleaders as you can see from the previous video post:)

Kyra brought home her first school project. I've posted a couple pictures of it below. The person is me with Brady in my belly:) I just smiled when she told me:)
Life on the work front is busy. I teach my Highland courses Monday and Thursday nights this semester. Only got a few articles written for Master Teacher so far this year. Hopeful I will be able to get some more in.
Miss Kyra is taking gymnastics this fall on Thursday's and LOVES it. Another funny story about her:
She was wanting to go to park but had made few bad choices so she had to make some good ones before we even considered going. Eating at the supper table she says "I love you mommy!" Daddy says "Kyra are you trying to kiss butt?" Kyra replies "Oh that's gross!"
That girl can make you laugh for sure!
Brady is still growing fast. I think he is about 22lbs now! He has 7 teeth and can get on all fours and rock back and forth. I think within the next 2 weeks we'll have a crawler! He also has learned to pull himself up in the crib to his knees! He loves to give kisses....even if they are open mouth and he just leans in when you least expect it. He also has the personality that everyone loves him. All the kids at daycare just go crazy for him! The newest thing he has learned is shaking his head back and forth so it looks like he is saying NO...but I think he just likes going back and forth.
Now that we are semi updated, I hope to post a little more frequently. Enjoy the pictures....click on them to increase their size if you are having trouble viewing them.
Until next time.....
