Valentine's Victory!

Every Man A Wildcat!

What a night! My sister Heather and I went to the KSU vs. KU game tonight. I have never had so much fun in such a long time. Heather was a hoot and made me laugh so hard the whole night. I've missed her so much.

We had a "not so nice" KSU fan behind us and come to find out it was someone that Bob went to high school with. I've debated about documenting this experience and decided against it. As much as the fan irritated Heather (rightfully so by the way), I think it's an experience that is much better told verbally!:) So if you ever want to know, ask!

I can finally cross another thing off my bucket list: Watch KSU beat KU at Bramlage...it was a bonus that KU was ranking #1! I even got on the jumbo tron! Your never too old to get excited about that. =)

I did feel bad that my hubby didn't get to go, but he and Kyra watched in on TV. He told her that mommy was there and she was like "Where? I don't see her!" She was VERY upset that I didn't take her along. He had probably the BEST Facebook status of the night....of course I'm gonna share with all of you.

Ryan's Facebook status after the Wildcat's victory: "Having a cold SUCKS, but watching the cats make chicken soup helped out greatly! Thank you Dr. Pullen, I will sleep well tonight!"

*On a Valentine's note: I did get some beautiful roses that were delivered by my husband at work and left on my desk with a note!

Update On My Sister

So I've been posting updates about my sister Freedom on Facebook. She was admitted to the hospital on Jan. 30 after going through 5 bags of IV fluids and high temp for more than 3 days. She was running a 103 fever and could only get it down to 101 with meds. She was having severe stomach pains and nausea. She had a sonogram and scope done last week showing that she had an enlarged kidney and fluid in the stomach. They had to dilate part of her stomach to get to the small intestine which showed an ulcer that they biopsied. She also had elevated liver enzymes and a low white count. She tested positive for influenza B.

She was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis. They are trying some different medication combinations to manage. From the readings online this is not a curable, but manageable condition. They have gotten her on oral medication now and off of the IV, hoping to go home tomorrow. She is still very very weak and still having some nausea but nothing as severe as this past week. I don't know, but hope they will take her to a specialist in KC. I know they are talking with one as to see which medication she needs to take.

Also for those that you that don't know she was also diagnosed with Lyme Disease last year. In 2006 she had BOTH her appendix out and gall bladder out within two days of each other.

I am very hopeful that they have finally FINALLY found out what is wrong with her because she has been suffering her whole life with this and it has just increased as she has gotten older. She just turned 17 last month and I'm looking forward to her getting to be a normal teenager!

She has been a very very sick girl these past two weeks. I want to thank everyone that has prayed for her and sent positive thoughts. She is a precious soul and we love her very much!

Super Bowl Sunday

Poor Brady was so tuckered out by the end of the game! He fell asleep on daddy.

This kids crack me up. They really do love each other. Brady's face is priceless don't you think?

When did my baby girl grow up? Today when I picked her up from school this was our conversation: Mom: "Kyra do you think you could hurry with your gloves?" Kyra replied: "Are you REALLY serious mom?" I mean I know that she is sassy but now it's in full sentence fluency! However, she is my beautiful girl...I adore this picture of her.

One of Brady's birthday gifts from Grandma Grund. We loved watching Jordy play and get the first touchdown of the game! EMAW

This was just a picture that I edited of my handsome man. I don't know how I was so blessed with two amazing and beautiful children. God has been so good to me.
