Freezing Fool!

So it all started with some green peppers from my garden and my helpful mom. She cut up the peppers for me so they wouldn't go to waste and froze them. On Tuesday of this week I was feeling better and ventured out to our tiny garden and picked some more and some tomatoes. I cut up the peppers and froze them and decided to look online how to freeze tomatoes....and that's what I did! I was so happy to be feeling better that later that night we went into town and bought:
48 ears of sweet corn
2 lbs of green beans
3 garden onions
3 red peppers
at the Westside market. I cut and froze all the beans, onion and red peppers that Tuesday night. Then yesterday I blanched 24 ears of corn which got me 9 bags of 2.5 cups of corn in the freezer. I still have the other 24 ears left to do. I'm hoping to make some freezer pickles too!

What I ended up getting:)
  • 8 snack bags of chopped onions
  • 7 snack bags of green peppers
  • 4 snack bags of red peppers
  • 2 sandwhich bags of green beans
  • 2 bags of tomatoes = 14 oz
  • 9 bags of 2.5 cups of corn
